This gothic church-like
building was erected in 1922 to be a mortuary and funeral home by "Turner & Stevens Co" where their motto was "serving over 36,000 families since 1895." Pasadena, California is the perfect setting for this historic landmark, in a city where there have been many tales over the years of paranormal activity. Today the building houses Eden Gardens Restaurant and Parsons Nose Theatre, but many customers claim they can still hear the faint sound of the horses in the carriage house that would pull the hearses. Some have seen visions of specific ghosts in various parts of the building from a funny ghost in overalls to a little girl to a prostitute. There was even a rumor that an illegal speak easy operated out of the mortuary. Although the inside of the structure has been updated to serve entertainment purposes, the essence of the original purpose has been preserved and seems to be the perfect place to honor the dead by bringing to life classic theatre.
